If you love to sing you’ve come to the right place.  The Long Island Harmonizers chorus is always looking for new members who enjoy singing as much as we do.  We love welcoming new members and sharing our unique music.  You do not need to be a trained musician or know how to read music to sing with us.  All that’s needed is your ability to carry a tune, stay on pitch and a desire to have fun.  You will have the opportunity to sing in public with the chorus or with three other members in a barbershop quartet.  We will provide sheet music for you to learn the lyrics and part-predominant mp3 learning tracks to learn the music.  Just listen and sing along to master your part.  

Joining the chorus is simple:

Visit us at one of our weekly rehearsals.  You will be be warmly greeted by our members and then meet with our director.  If you wish to sing with us, he will place you in a vocal section (lead, baritone, bass or tenor) according to your vocal range.  You will receive a book of our current music, sit with other members in your section and sing with us or just follow along.

After your third visit you will be asked to audition by singing your part to the song medley, “Honey Little Lize” with three other members to form a quartet.  Music and learning tracks to Honey Little Lize will be provided to you and, to make you feel more comfortable, we will go over your part several times prior to your audition.  To get a head start you can listen to the learning tracks for each vocal part using the audio players below and download the sheet music here.
